Signing Up - Part 3
Wow, we're already up to page three, and it looks something like this: ![]() Like I said before, creativity from here on in. Pick the address for your blog here. It can be anything you want, but remember again, if someone else has picked it, you're going to have to try again. read the terms of service for blog*spot, and then click on the "i agree" box once you're done reading. Then click next once again. Now you get to pick your template, which dictates the look and feel of your site. the template determines everything from color scheme and font to the arrangement of the different blog elements and the right environments for viewing the blog. ![]() Normally, you would sit at this next page and pick out which template you think suits you best. in fact, i recommend doing that, after you've finished this tutorial and when you get the chance. There are a whole bunch of templates to choose from at blogger, and if the ones they provide you with don't suit your tasts, there are tons more at www.BlogSkins.com. for now, though, since we're going to set up our own custom template as part of the tutorial, you should select the first template and click "next". When you do, you will get to a loading screen that looks like the one below, and you will have to wait anywhere from a few seconds to a minute while Blogger generates your blog for you. Be patient; if you close the browser or mess anything up, you might have to start this whole thing over from scratch! ![]() When blogger finishes setting up, it will take you to a page where you can begin to edit your blog. Congratulations, you're done signing up! Now it's time to customize your blog, make it look pretty, cool, et cetera, and to do that you need to join me at the Getting Started page located up above to learn how to customize the template and what to put in our blog. I'll see you there! |
